Shimon — Simeon, second son of Jacob

Genesis 29:33 — “She conceived again and bore a son, and declared, “This is because GOD heard that I was unloved and has given me this one also”; so she named him Simeon.”

Genesis 34:25 — “On the third day, when they were in pain, Simeon and Levi, two of Jacob’s sons, brothers of Dinah, took each his sword, came upon the city unmolested, and slew all the males.”

Genesis 34:30 — “Jacob said to Simeon and Levi, “You have brought trouble on me, making me odious among the inhabitants of the land, the Canaanites and the Perizzites; my men are few in number, so that if they unite against me and attack me, I and my house will be destroyed.””

Genesis 35:23 — “The sons of Leah: Reuben—Jacob’s first-born—Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, and Zebulun.”

Genesis 42:24 — “He turned away from them and wept. But he came back to them and spoke to them; and he took Simeon from among them and had him bound before their eyes.”
