Genesis 9:6 — “Whoever sheds human blood, By human [hands] shall their blood be shed; For in the image of God Was humankind made.”

Genesis 37:22 — “And Reuben went on, “Shed no blood! Cast him into that pit out in the wilderness, but do not touch him yourselves”—intending to save him from them and restore him to his father.”

Genesis 37:31 — “Then they took Joseph’s tunic, slaughtered a kid, and dipped the tunic in the blood.”
