Genesis 10:10 — “The mainstays of his kingdom were Babylon, Erech, Accad, and Calneh in the land of Shinar.”

Genesis 11:9 — “That is why it was called Babel, because there GOD confounded the speech of the whole earth; and from there GOD scattered them over the face of the whole earth.”

2 Kings 17:24 — “The king of Assyria brought [people] from Babylon, Cuthah, Avva, Hamath, and Sepharvaim, and he settled them in the towns of Samaria in place of the Israelites; they took possession of Samaria and dwelt in its towns.”
